Assembly traditionally has many different music compos so it comes as no surprise that this episode once again has a pretty decent length of more than one and a half hours.

In Case You Missed It, #13
Function 2020 brought us some great rock & metal entries by e.g. NecroPolo (alone as well as with friends) and a track with an amazing 70’s vibe by SlySpy!

In Case You Missed It, #12
As other parties have done before, Evoke has also gone virtual this year, under the name “Novoque.” It had a Dance Music in the Mix compo which was mixed live by Ronny and is the source for many amazing tracks in this episode. Unfortunately, not many demos and 64k intros were released at Novoque so this episode is also a bit shorter than usual. Is that something we will just have to live with in these trying times?
In Case You Missed It, #11
Even though this episode has collected music from two parties it does have a lot less music than a normal episode. Birdie 2020 and Edison 2020 are both rather small parties so a lower number of entries than, say, Revision or Evoke is not that surprising after all.
In Case You Missed It, #10
Another episode with music from a demoparty from ancient demoscene history, or so it certainly feels. Evoke 2010 is only 10 years in the past but oh, so much has happened in that time…
Anyway. This episode was fun for a number of reasons:
- From the 30 tracks I selected, 17 were already part of SceneSat’s rotation, including well-known tracks like the invitation soundtrack, or glxblt’s “Abell 2029,” or wayfinder’s “When It Rains, It Pours.”
- The Streaming Music compo was so incredibly good that I added every single track to my show. 18 tracks, they’re all in.
The next episode will be broadcast on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020, at 20:00 CEST/UTC+2 so mark your calenders accordingly!
In Case You Missed It, #9
For episode 9 I didn’t really have to go far back, it hasn’t even been two months since Revision! However, for once I was enabled to listen to all the entries, without exception; I’m usually missing out on entries for old-school platforms or entries that won’t run on my MacBook for one reason or the other and for which no Youtube rips exist but this time, as I was part of the Revision orga team and we pre-recorded everything and I had access to those recordings, I could listen to them all!
In Case You Missed It, #8
Episode 8 went even further back than episode 7 which covered Breakpoint 2003. I crossed the millenium border and went all the way back to The Party 1997, my third demoparty. And oh boy, with a tagline of “batteries not included” and a city-wide power outage lasting several hours you can be sure we (large group of people from TLSDS aka Teklords & Smash Designs) had lots of fun, e.g. with this device and a car battery…
In Case You Missed It, #7
A throwback to the distant past… this was meant to be the first of a “Specials” series that I wanted to do only about 3–4 times a year but there probably won’t be many new parties for the foreseeable future, except Revision Online. So, I guess this is our life now: reliving the music of parties from a long time ago…
And the series starts off with the music of Breakpoint 2003! The very first Breakpoint, in an old military depot on a mountain near Bingen, it was fucking cold, the hall had no insulation because it wasn’t a hall, it was a hangar, and airplanes and tanks and other military vehicles don’t cry when it’s cold so a hangar is all they got and that’s all we got, plus 40 kW of heating.
What we also got was a shitload of entries! Listen for yourself:
I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did. The next episode will be on wednesday, April 29th, 20:00 CEST, as usual. Mark your calenders!
